Peter Cramer and Jack Waters perform

Please join us for a night of theatrical deviance and sexual dissidence. Peter Cramer and Jack Waters — legends of the Downtown scene, stewards of Le Petit Versailles Garden — will present a mashup of props, costumes, sounds, and films culled from their 45 years of collaborative performance making. An overflowing potpourri of queer DIY sensibilities, Cramer and Waters dedicate this performance to the creative spirit of Agosto Machado. In addition, a loose collective of literary perverts going by the name of The Lactopod Players will present a new play called The Dykes and Their Enemies Between Insurrections. The play (a punning riff on Larry Mitchell and Ned Astra’s 1977 fabulistic manifesto, The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions) tells the tale of Capacity, Complicity, and Hegemony, three wicked sisterwives who have been banished to a Compersion Therapy Camp in the enchanted woods of MILF Briar. Written by Grace Caiazza, Kerosene Jones, and Rebecca Teich, The Dykes and Their Enemies Between Insurrections will be performed by Caiazza and Jones, alongside Shawn Escarciga, Connor Goerk, Stevie Knauss, A. Monti, Kat Sotelo, and a few surprise guests.  This event will also be livestreamed for free on The Poetry Project's YouTube channel.
