Allied/ LPV returns to the Printed Matter’s NY Art Book Fair 2026 highlighting subjects vital to open space, collectives, queer / poc community and women. In addition to book works and printed matter, Allied presents archival ephemera from artistic projects representing 45 years in the culture of resistance, inclusive of its primary NYC venue, Le Petit Versailles community garden.

Helen Oji - Kokeshiこけし Studies
Kokeshi こけし Studies reflects Oji's lifelong connection to Japanese culture, childhood memories, and the natural world. Inspired by traditional kokeshi dolls—symbols of protection and resilience—I explore their distilled forms through walnut ink; a material tied to my farming upbringing. Yoko O.K. - Uncoiling: A Japanese-American Family's History
Part talk-show interview where Yoko interviews her deceased ancestors, part adventure storytelling based on what she learns from these relatives, the story centers mainly on her great-grandparents' immigration to California between 1905 and 1913, and the ensuing chaos. Su Friedrich - I Still Am; A Woman, Pissed-Off & Curious
Acclaimed filmmaker Su Friedrich takes us on an intimate and visually rich autobiographical journey through her personal journals and letters, showing her artistic influences, sense of humor, and flair for adventure as she describes a trip she took through West Africa in 1976 at the age of 21. Chuna Chugay - That Same Wind
Chuna Chugay’s work investigates the legacy of the 1937 deportation of Koreans from the Soviet Far East to Central Asia—an act of ethnic cleansing that displaced more than 170,000 people, including their family. Chuna explores how histories of forced migration reverberate across generations. Chuna is currently writing and illustrating a graphic memoir called That Same Wind about growing up in Russia and the hidden history of the Koryo-Saram diaspora.
