Introducing "Tassel on Tassel," at Le Petit Versailles, a multi-disciplinary public exhibition by artist, Joe Cohen, that combines the mediums of movement and fabric art.  The exhibition explores a dialogue between fabric and the sacred. From an inquiry into the humble Tzizit, ritual fringes that evolved in Judaism from decorative embroidery to vessels of sacred symbolism, it reimagines tassels as universal connectors, the quiet unraveling of threads which shed light on our multi-layered identities. It extends an invitation to explore, touch, and untangle these threads. Within the garden, a transient threshold materializes—a beaded doorway, a gateway to enter into this realm of the sacred.

At the heart of the show is the idea of connection. One piece of fabric is woven around another, multiple threads come and go but ultimately connect us to our bodies, to our clothes, to our histories, to our desires, and to what we deem as sacred. The show will include a collaboration with live performances by Niall Jones, who will be responding to what Joe has initiated in the installation.
